We use it to build a customer-facing portal. We were able to get useful data from our AirTable into Softr. It's fast to build with, and the free plan has enough to demonstrate that it's worth paying for. There are some nice additional capabilities like rolling back to previous snapshot states.

It would be great to be able to fork+extend the existing templates.

We don't have a frontend developer, and Softr can take care of many (but not all) things that person would do for us. We get a professional website up quickly and can maintain it. We still have to write a small amount of custom code for some things (feedback form in modal presentation). Hits the sweet spot between speed and customization.

Customer support is really reactive and competent. The product is evolving fast and really simple to use. It matches all my needs.

From time to time the updates done by softr affect the stability of my app and bug fixes need to be done.

It is super easy to use and integrates with Airtable which is what I use for my business. I also love that it's free to get started.

Some of the customization of their templates wasn't intuitive to me. But their support was really helpful when I reached out and asked.

the integration with Airtable is fantastic. It is automated and you do not need to integrate another software to communicate Softr with a database.

It could be limited in design. The blocks are almost not customizable.

Very easy to start with blocks and templates. The best tool to build MVP or even simple apps. Free plan is generous.

The pricing is hard to reach for bootstrapers.

I always liked to fix problems. I also like business. I consider myself good at AIRTABLE, but I couldnt find a way to combine my passion for problem solving, my AIRTABLE skills in order to make a profit. SOFTR changed that. SOFTR allows me to rent my apps to customers, fix their problems, and earn a profit. I was on the BRINK of bankruptcy in January 2023. SOFTR saved me, and my business (and probably my marriage as well 😅). Thank you very much for such a great product, and keep up the good work!!!

Limited NON-DYNAMIC blocks. Nothing THAT bad. I would only like more options.

The ease of set up and the functionality that has been demonstrated as it relates to static website information as well as dynamic information that can be added in blocks to an extremely user friendly website app builder is amazing.

There are not many data sources available for the dynamic sources, but I know it won't be that way for long based on what I believe Softr is going to be capable of in the very near future.

At first, I see softr as an extremely easy to use website builder, but the potential is much greater. I plan on replacing a few of my key landing pages, and to create an informative program specific sales page.

I found softr after experimenting with airtables and hitting a limit with usability. So I started to play more and quickly realized the power. As my old company webpage needed a upgrade, I changed to softr. I'm really impressed how easy it was to do a good-looking, functional page without any hussle.

Sometimes the updates of blocks require you to set up the whole block again.

Softr gives non-technical people abilities they didn't have access to before. With Softr, I was able to create a community portal to share templates and facilitate networking. I was also able to build a game portal with a leaderboard and webinars embedded directly in the site. On top of powerful software, their support is amazing. They have real-time chat support available and we have an incredible CSM who goes above and beyond for us to help us build the perfect experience.

The components can be a little limiting as they are all pre-built

Softr lets me build a beautiful interface on top of an airtable database. This gives a professional look while being easily manageable on the backend.
