Ability to register for multiple years, reminder emails, intuitive platform
Not applicable. Only positive things to say.
DOmain registration and web hosting
We use network solutions on site but for our main office we switched to 365 because it is cloud based.
Not cloud based. Glitches sometimes and you do not have much storage. Sometimes the system goes down and you cannot use it.
Emailing, calendar scheduling, communications
The price is the main like. I recommend it if you are going with very normal static webpages without php, mysql, etc. So pretty much use it for basic one page HTML or landing pages.
Networksolutions used to be great. But ever since web.com bought them, they have gone downhill. Their UI sucks. They had good uptime and customer service was great. Since Web.com took over, quality on all points has dropped while prices have remained the same or increased.

The price point is great, and we've never had any issues with the platform. Their customer service has always been responsive to our needs.
I have heard that it is very challenging to switch hosts from Network Solutions to another platform but don't have a personal experience with that. The site layout is slightly confusing and sort of difficult to find the DNS settings.
It is a great option for web hosting. Again, very middle-of-the-road solution. It's not spectacular, but it does everything we need it to do.
Easy to use for purchasing domain names.
User interface is a bit more complicated than some competitors.
We have purchased and managed multiple domain names.
They have many options for domain management and web development, fairly standard for such companies. Prices for domains are fairly standard with good price breaks for multiple years renewal.
Navigating their menus after logging in is somewhat of a chore. You are constantly being bombarded with options to upgrade to this or that. Even updating Whois information is not a simple task.
We purchased several domain names and managed the DNS records one by one, sending them to our web hosting company. DNS propagation occurred over the standard period, as intended.
At the time of using Network Solutions, they offered free privacy with domains which I really enjoyed (probably not longer available). Like most similar companies, Network Solutions offers domain purchasing, web hosting, and website creation. Their DNS services section is designed in a nice manner, I do appreciate the simplicity of updating A or M records. Other than that, there has not been much that Network Solutions has done to impress me.
They're expensive. Average price of a domain is $50 compared to places like GoDaddy which is $20. When its a yearly fee, those $50 add up over time for multiple domains. Their UI is a bit tricky to navigate but they have been making updates these past few years to improve it. When I first started using Network Solutions, the renew domain function was difficult to find. The site would give me a notification that made it seem like I had to pay and extra fee for autorenew, but eventually I found the toggle switch.
We are solving the issue of keeping our domains in house instead of relying on somebody else to maintain them for us. It let us save a lot of money in maintenance fees.
It’s simple, there aren’t many options other than send and receive email.
Emails get lost or filtered or some don’t get received. I can’t send emails quicker than 10 secs of the previous one-I’m a fast typer.
It’s simple, not a lot to figure out
Did what it was supposed to do as we were starting up our eCommerce site
Lacking functionality website hangs occasionally
eCommerce website
The main reason I use network solutions is because of the price. I use them for my hosting and domain registration, and they often have good coupons and bundle deals.
The website is not very user friendly and it often times out. Transferring my hosting to them was an absolute mess and took it took me a while to get it working properly. It almost seemed like random pieces weren't transferred initially.
I do like that I can host my SQL Server database, all of my website information, and my email all in one location.
Network Solutions is a major player in the space. Their name recognition goes a long way with clients when selling them on a solution. I primarily used them as a registrar. They initially proved to have good price performance.
They are more expensive than others, but you are paying for the brand. I don't like the up-selling that's found within their site. Nothing beyond the name recognition factor really stands out. For me, the costs involved proved to be too high. For my agency, we moved away from them for cost-based reasons as well. We missed a subversive check box and got charged for an additional service without our knowledge.
By moving away from Network solutions, we found a more cost effective hold place for all our domains. We achieved the same end with less hassle.
I like that this software gives me the opportunity to drive increased traffic to websites.
I dislike the customer service support line. There are way too many transfers needed for simple questions.
Increasing clientele for real estate.
I admin my wife's Wordpress blog. We moved off of Wordpress.com due to the inability to upload custom themes. Networks Solutions allows for custom theme uploading.
I have had a bad experience with both the support and the speed of the website. I connacted support with speed/performance related questions and was not even able to ascertain from the representative whether or not the issue (which is ongoing even today) is service tier related.

I honestly can't think of one. I am not happy, nor have I been. I wish I could make a list of things that I compromise on, but, it certainly does not make it easy.
To start with, I am agog at the failure of an updated Help menu. It has been the same "manual" that offers no contact number, no examples, and no alternate choices when looking for a SOLUTION to my NETWORK issues.
We became clients through my mother-in-law who was looking for a company that could host our Non-profit website, she was not familiar with the process or the task at hand. So, she went with NS and I've been regretting her decision ever since. From the Domain Registration perspective, that's actually good as the prices seem to be in line with the competition, but the actual quality and innovation of it's program seems to be lagging behind quite obviously.
Sadly, there is nothing I like about my experience with NWS.
They make it extremely difficult to contact them. They do NOT provide an email address for responding to customers' issues, they put you on hold and frequently disconnect you after 20-30 minutes. They say they will take care of your complaint, but they never do and you have to call all over again. It is a nightmare!
It is creating big problems for me by adding to my account unauthorized, unnecessary products (such as directory listing of a webpage I do not have). When I tried to transfer my domain name from NWS, they blocked me because I refused to pay for services I did not ask for. I have spent literally more than five hours during the last month trying to resolve this problem, but nothing is ever done.
I would have a hard time saying anything positive about Network Solutions. They were one of the first hosting companies I used, and I've had to interact with them periodically over the years. They consistently underperform other platforms.
Slowest DNS propagation on the face of the earth. Absolutely the worst Admin panel. Less than stellar support. Lots of add-on charges for things like SSLs. Lack of advanced features like incorporated staging, and automated backups, at least on lower tiers.
I was new to running a web development business and found them for hosting. It was functional but as I have learned, other hosting platforms have better features, admin UI, and performance.
nothing, they overcharged me big time, will not recommend!
They overcharged me big time, will not recommend this company to anyone! They tell that the transfer code will go to your inbox in 3 days, never received it!
Overpricing but they don´t care!
Nothing. I used to be a happy customer back in the 90s, but this company just keeps screwing over the customers year after year.
Horrible support Domain transfer codes take 2-4 days Insane renewal rates Nasty "reinstatement" fees expiration of domain name
Nothing, they don't provide any support worth mentioning. Chat support isn't even 24 hours, and forget hoping to get an email response any time soon.
Their web builder is easy to use. You can build a site relatively fast
Their support can't redirect calls properly. Often times you just get to another queue and have to wait 15+ mins. Their agents seem to only care about closing the tickets. I am not providing examples because I am afraid this review will be taken down, but I have several cases on which the agents deliberately missed the main point, responded to something else and closed the ticket.
o365, website hosting, domain hosting
nothing, it's expensive - no justification for being higher than their competitors
Cost is expensive - no justification I can get the exact same services from Go daddy at a much better price. Here I just feel taken advantage off.
none - just adds to my overhead and at a higher cost than elsewhere.
