We've been using Azure SQL Database for a long time. It's the best PaaS offering for Microsoft SQL Server which features a 99.99% availability. You can leverage the 3 possible flavors of it - Managed Instances, Single, Elastic Pool. Managed Instance is basically the fully-featured SQL Server for the cloud where Single and Elastic Pool are more restricted(but performant) options. You can choose among a good variety of scalability options and service tiers. Azure SQL database implements Automatic performance tuning, built-in backups, and integration with Azure Active Directory.

I would love it if it becomes a little more transparent in terms of Dynamic Management Views, advanced features and integration with SQL Server Profiler (although it's announced as legacy).

We have been using Azure SQL Database in almost every solution we are involved in. Typically it's used for the persistence of the core application data. Some solutions that employ the microservices architecture need more than one Azure SQL Database to store its information.

It is integrated with the Microsoft Suite of products. I use Azure Mobile Apps to host my mobile application that connects with a Microsoft SQL Server Database also hosted in Azure while my other files are hosted in Microsoft Azure Blob storage. There is a portal that easily lets you create a Database instance in 5 mins and you are ready to go. The portal online also has a basic tool to allow you to create queries just in case you need to check data changes immediately. Also, I have used other 3rd party softwares to easily access the data and tables when needed. As this is a hosted solution, you do not need to worry about maintaining your database server. If you are using this product for your company, the hassle of needing a database server, hosting and hiring database administrators is removed. In addition, as this is a Microsoft product you know that it is headed in the right direction and it is not going away anytime soon. The software is properly supported and there is a team ready to answer questions - at a price of course.

It is not very easy to find answers to questions especially if you need to do something very complex. The service comes with a price so you would need to pay for the DB, the App service and storage and other features you would need to run your app.

I like most in azure container registry is that we can store and manage all types of container deployments with Automated Container Builds and Testing and Security Scanning. It Allow individualized access to various repositories within a registry. Enable setting Reader, Contributor or Owner access levels at the repository level. also To get integration stated, we’ve added links to Aqua and Twistlock from overview within a configured registry.

While using it It Lacks in fine grain access control and registry performance is not up to the mark. Need to improve the interface to the user that you need to add more tabs into the tool as well good attributes to use

It's kind of hard if you don't have any previous experience coding and stuff. I got to the part where I tried to upload my free SSL certificate to my website, and I couldn't get it figured out even with a really good tutorial online.

I'm not really sure I solving any business problems with it. I mainly just use it for personal. I've got 2 websites on the Azure platform, And I ran out of free space Commerce or haven't been in there in I while but there is tons of Apps and software if your website builder to play with common in they give you a pretty generous amount of space, In a fully customizeable dashboard, which is fun.

some of the errors you can get from the service fabric are very vague, so you can waste a lot of time trying to understand what happened.

It is very easy to install on the desktop machine and performs a lot of operations related to Azure storage. Managing storage accounts is a lot simpler with the use of Azure Storage Explorer. Being a DBA, I use the snapshot feature a lot and this tool is very efficient while managing snapshots. The Azcopy works just well and is a time savior.

No cons available for the tool. Microsoft is working hard with the product and release bi weekly updates with bug fixes as well.

The storage explorer has given the ability perform copy/delete/modify files and folders from the blobs effectively which has resulted in increased productivity. The level of nesting it offers while looking at a particular file and its properties, was missing in Azure portal.

Virtual machines on Azure cloud gives are a lot easier to deploy with step by step process to follow. It gives you custom sizes to choose from which helps save time. The Hybrid license feature save about 40% of the cost of the Virtual Machine much used in our environment. Machines can be scheduled to turn off per requirement.which is highly cost effective.

No issues with the Virtual Machine deployment and IAAS services.The product is going good.

We are moving our existing VM from Hyper V to Azure cloud in order to save cost of management and Infrastructure. All new deployments are taking place at Azure Cloud and are kept in the resource groups having scheduled turn off cycles.

Azure Service Fabric is seriously special. There are now many competing offers for creating an infrastructure by which one can have a variety of services, such as logging, data storage, API hosting, monitoring, and scalability. Namely, one thinks of Kubernetes, Docker, etc when thinking of container management and competing services such as Google App Engine when thinking of direct competitors. Service Fabric is seriously special because it not only allows you to tie all of these features into a single, easily manage, scalable package, but also because it is incredibly easy to use, and allows you to 'roll-your-own' package in the sense that it is NOT opinionated and does not force you to use any one feature or programming lanaguage.

There isn't a lot to dislike - it is simply a system which allows you to use whatever you are comfortable with, and empowers you to scale endlessly given your custom stack. It is the future of ecosystem management.

Pretty much any technological needs - when I worked at Microsoft, we dogfooded service fabric extensively because of its scalability, easy of use, and allowance for any technology. This realizes many benefits - we are putting together many pieces of the puzzle in one place, with guaranteed scalability and performance. Very few other services/offerings can say that.

Creating a virtual machine is very easy , it is more of a do-it-yourself process. A lot of readily available VM options to choose from depending on the needs and purpose of the VM to be created. Clarity on the pay as you go model.

This new software allowes use to easily migrate within minutes, offering more secuirtry with granular access control then the next best software!. It also allowes backups for our manged disk, with poin in time snapshots

Currenlty there is nothing we dislike about 'Managed Disks'. The software is next to perfect level! Very good indeed.
