Lots of practical features that let you monitor questions, share links, pause screen, etc.
The user interface is outdated and could have a more modern feel
We have to give training demonstrations daily to our clients. This allows us to demo our soft ware and take questions in real time from customers
The move to a GoToWebinar is simple and effective, the controls are largely the same as GTM and it allows you to host a larger number of people. The webinar format allows the host more say over how the meeting is run and can be very beneficial.
Users occasionally report having issues with sound quality or connection quality. I rarely have any problems though.
Hosting meetings or presentations for larger groups of people. The ability to moderate questions and control the flow of information from the audience is great.
GoTo Webinar brings all the ease of GoTo Meeting in an easy to use package that requires very little training for our end users.
Sometimes the audio options can be less than stellar and if it's a large webinar with hundreds of people, there isn't really a process for them to get help during the event.
Large scales webinars to help promote new solutions. We have seen increased sales.
GTW has been a great way for us to connect with candidates remotely.
There are definitely times when the interface can be a little choppy
The benefits compared to other video conferencing platforms is relatively negligible
The meeting does not interrupt in the middle. It is a smooth intereface.
So far, I have no complaints. It has been reliable and consistant
I don't need to leave my office to meet with people
Ease of use, being able to easily host webinars
it saving my sign in info and messing up my GTM account
Hosting webinars for clients
GoToWebinar is super easy to use, and allows us to share information widely for relatively little cost. It is very user friendly and has an easy interface to figure out, both for user and administrator.
$89 is a little bit steep, especially when we are hosting free webinars for people to listen to, but ultimately, it pays for itself in the marketing we are able to achieve through hosting the webinar.
This helps us reach a wider audience than just who is local, including people from other Universities, who could be key partners in our work.
It is familiar. I know what I am doing when I load it up. It is the Lincoln to GoToMeeting's Mercury
I don't use it enough to really say. Most of the time GoToMeeting works for me.
Catching flies with webinar honey.
Highest functionalities compared to other alternatives
Platform is not very intuitive, you had to "learn" from someone who has used it before
Webinar for sales campaigns
Easy to use, most people have used it before
Sometimes I find that chat and questions windows are too squished to be able to read the questions
Hosting webinars and demos
Can accomodate a large number of participants
UI isn't simple or straightforward, and can be complex
Having public facing webinars that allow for easy access to join
Event creation is fairly simple and use-friendly, and there is an ease of integration with legacy email systems that makes for a nearly seamless adoption period.
It has been rare, but sometimes the interface/system will crash without apparent reason. There have been times when this has made getting back to the platform very difficult, which reduces efficiencies and causes substantial frustrations.
Hosting seminars with GTW is easy, appealing to the eye, and full of features for the users. I feel that the ability to engage participants is critical in an effective seminar/training, and the addition of polling features is very handy.
Setting up a webinar is simple with the ability to brand the registration page and track attendees. We could then target our followup based on whether or not they attended or not.
While it is probably one of the best webinar solutions on the market it can be cost prohibitive for smaller organizations. It would be great if there was a lower cost option.
I don't currently use it do to the cost. When we were using we realized that we could reach a broader audience with out the hassles of an in person event. This gave us the opportunity to present our products to a larger group there for increasing sales
capacity to include over 3000 participants. Pre-recorded webinars and events is another handy feature.
pricing is expensive compared to the free alternatives, especially Zoom.
No need for in-person events. Saving money on running events.
I very much enjoy the fact that you can create a series of meetings, all with the same URL and phone number. This is very convenient, particularly when working with specific groups.
One of the biggest complaints I receive from attendees is that they have to download something to their computer in order to join the meeting.
This is an easy way to gather a group of people who may have questions about some thing and allow them the opportunity to ask these questions via chat. You can also share any information you feel is necessary or may be different than had previously been true for this particular group
Many features are available to create a more interesting event -- switching control to different presenters, sharing screens, videos, and launching polls and surveys. You can record your session, and it automatically uploads to your video library, which you can then download for future use. Analytics are always helpful to gauge audience engagement and inform follow-up activities. You also can filter your analytics, view different reports, and export the data. GoToWebianr also integrates with our marketing automation platform, which handles all the email registrations and new contacts added to our database.
As the event organizer, you have main controls for the event. The interface could use an update since it's not very intuitive. It seems more outdated compared to other webinar platforms.
To reach large audiences within and outside our company, GoToWebinar is a great tool to have groups of people gather to educate, learn, collaborate, and discuss among peers.
Pre and post surveying for attendees. Our organization likes to engage our audiences
Not always easy to use. Customer service isn't always helpful and CRM not always reachable
We use this for more trainings and presentations.
I appreciate that GoToWebinar allows us to host webinars for 100 or less people where they're automatically muted, and we can interact through a questions pane. They also provide simple but effective reports afterwards to assess attendance and survey results.
Potentially we would just need to adjust licensing, but the version we're on only allows for 100 viewers at a time. This limits our webinars a bit but its effective overall!
I haven't found many problems, it has been effective for our small use cases.
Worked well for some of the larger webinars we had, but this was a bit too much for our small company.
One of the more expensive platforms and had issues with audio at times.
Scheduling out monthly webinars.
I liked that it was integrated in Canvas for online classes.
I thought it was difficult to create my own webinar.
I use this to attend class online.
