Bridge generates visual thumbnails and descriptive overviews of all file types and allows the user to determine the levels of displayed information.
I haven't discovered yet anything I dislike
Bridge lets me quickly see what files are available and what their attributes are, without having to open multiple finder windows or files. I can then make choices about what files to use and can often insert the files directly into layouts I am creating, or copy them to another device.
There was a time when I didn’t use Bridge and manually organized my files into folders, moving selects into another folder. Bridge makes everything so much easier and allows me to flag and rank my selects, makes batch processing much easier and so much more.
Like many Adobe products, there’s a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get it, it’s easy enough and there’s always more you can do.
It allows me to organize all of my photo shoots and prioritize my edits, saving me tons of time and headache.
I like having Adobe Bridge Open when I am using Photoshop to quickly find my files and graphics. I Manage the Marketing for two large dealerships and need everything right there. I like that I can open and edit pics prior to moving them over to photoshop.
The biggest thing that I don't like about adobe bridge is the ease of finding files sometimes. I wish there was a better search. Maybe there is and I just don't find it. I have tried using the search and it doesn't do what I think it should. I keep most everything on flash drives, so I don't always run into that issue, but i have so much stuff sometimes I forget where I put it.
Being able to quickly put a graphic into photoshop, edit photos before I put them in photoshop or opening them in adobe illustrator also. The bridge is open for me every time photoshop is open. Is is a must in my fast paced profession.
I like that you can view the files such as eps, ai, pdf, and other files without having to open them by using the viewer in the program. I like how you can search a file not just based by its name you can also search its file formats. Offering a black or dark grey theme feels like a plus since it is less harsh on eyes compared to looking at the old outdated feeling light grey. The Dark theme gives it that futuristic feel oppose to the grey theme that feels like its from the 90's.
The latest version i did have some occasional freezing with the program compared to the older versions i had no issues.
Keeping client files super organized and being able to see the revisions i made by not just renaming the files but being able to view the file without having to open it by using the zoom tool.
Adobe Bridge is great application for sorting through photos.
Adobe Bridge can get a little difficult organizing.
Adobe Bridge has made post production a lot quicker and efficient.
Being able to organize and create a universal look and feel to sets of images
Sometimes, the notes on photos are lost in translation to other computers
Organizing and categorizing big bulks of photos - it cuts our work time in half
I love love love the fact I can enter metadata in BULK! So helpful. For anything organizing, I go to Bridge and it never fails. I also love the integration with Photoshop
I caan not think of one thing I dislike.
BULK TAGGING! Its been great with Stock sales.
The fact that it comes WITH my existing Adobe subscription, and that I don't have to overpay for other Digital Asset Management software. I can see previews of all native Adobe file formats without having to open them, and use keywords and filtering to find what I am looking for even if I don't know what exactly that it.
The program can be updated TOO fast, and can sometimes crash for no reason. Sometimes in larger catalogs it can take unreasonable long to get previews of media.
Digital Assets Management
Using Adobe Bridge I can quickly organize, rename, and even color code image files. Before I started using bridge my work files were always a mess. I didn't ever maintain an organized method of naming and categorizing the images I use in my designs.
There's absolutely no negatives to this software, it's just a bonus, if you are already using Photoshop why wouldn't you want to make things easier on yourself and keep all you image files organized with Bridge?
Adobe Bridge saves me so much time and stress, I'm not the most organized person usually but it's really important for me to be able to work quickly and keep things in order. Adobe Bridge is perfect for this job.
I enjoy that others in the office can open files in bridge without having access to programs like Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. Sending proofs to non-design employees has become much easier.
The UI is a little outdated, but functionality is not affected.
Sending proofs internally is much faster, since we don't have to save as other formats. I can send an .indt file to an employee who doesn't work on design and they can open the product to preview with ease. Plus, vendors who send .ai or .psd files will get faster responses from employees in the office, because we don't have to convert the files for them!
We use a lot of adobe products such after effects, character animate, animate etc. This application helps us to get access to our saved work and assets in every app without any hassle and more quickly than having to import and export each file on disk and then in other apps. It also helps us sell our artwork in adobe community and get paid for our work if users use our assets in their projects. Our top features of Adobe bridge are: 1. Easy way to share files across adobe apps 2. Improved Signed in into said apps 3. Upload artwork to adobe bridge for access to users across the world
Nothing so far as it helps us reduce the headaches related to saving/importing/exporting stuff every 5 seconds so great job!
It helps us manage and access our assets that are used company wide by our partners and we also upload our content on bridge so others can access it as well
I love the different view layout options as well as being able to scale the view size. If photos are categorized, you can also use the search bar to search for different photo tags or categories.
There really isn't a whole lot that I would recommend changing. Maybe updating the UX design to be easier to navigate and less complex.
This is definitely my number one software for searching through millions and millions of photo databases. Finding photos with Adobe Bridge is easier and much faster.
A must app for professional photographers!
Somethings are not always easy to understand
Batch naming all my photos. Batch metadata all my photos. Editing Raw/
very well user interface, smooth move from folder to folder, lot of fantastic tools for file handling and organising
quite slow in network, slow generating thumbnails, because of that - first view of folder is a bit frustrating experience
handling with all photos (and other files) that we use everyday - best way to choose the right ones and move it from folder to folder or rename it...
I just began using this software over the last year and a half and I don't know what took me so long. It it such a convenient tool and I use it daily at work.
I don't have many complaints about it. somtimes .png files don't always show a thumbnail preview and then have issues opening (I get error codes "cannot parse the file).
I am able to house a wide variety of images and files in one central location, and open/place said files throughout the adobe software programs that I use daily (indesign, photoshop, illustrator). It is such a time saver to do it this way rather than opening files separately and copy/pasting them into a different location, which is what I have done in the past
Everything is all right there at the palm of your hand. So many things you can do through bridge.
I'd love to see even more features added on.
Ease of bulk file changing and image processing is so convenient. Saves me so much time.
I like the ease of use! My favorite part of Bridge is being able to easily search through thousands of pictures with keywords. As a current PC user, I can get extremely annoyed with how long it can take to find a picture in explorer, Bridge is a wonderful alternative.
There's not much to dislike. Bridge is an amazing program to use - especially when you have other Adobe products.
It is far more efficient to use Bridge over a finder or explorer window. The search tool and how fast the program runs are super beneficial.
The best thing about Adobe Bridge is the ability to label, rate, star, or sort files on the fly. This makes it easy to select images quickly after a photoshoot, batch rename, and preview quickly due to image caching. I don't believe I've taken full advantage of the abilities of the software, but it has been beneficial for what I use it for.
The image caching can take up a lot of space on your computer. If you're running low on space, it's best to clear your caches.
Adobe Bridge is useful for image filing after photoshoots, batch renaming, and organizing files.
The product provides a great platform from which to view all the images on my card. I can see the thumbnails before uploading the raw pics.
It would be better to be able to gather similar shots and have the ability to pick the best first off.
It's all about the speed of working through the images.
When you work as a designer among many other designers there are thousands of files on a drive that you have to look through to find something. It can be like searching for a needle in a haystack. Adobe bridge makes that easier because I am able to see almost all my files no matter what type they are.
I can only see adobe files. I am unable to see my NedGraphics files which is unfortunate because so much of what I do is using that software.
This software helps you save time finding files. It can literally save hours because you can see thumbnails of almost everything and so you can save time because you don't have to open each file individually by click on each thing.
